Secondary School: Years 7-12
The Secondary Years
A world of opportunity lies ahead for our secondary students. The secondary programs at Prescott College Southern are designed to support students as they grow into confident, capable young adults, ready for life beyond school.
Students in years 7-10 follow the Australian Curriculum, building a strong foundation in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health & PE, and Encounter. Alongside these, they can explore interests in areas like The Arts, Design & Technology, and Digital Technologies, allowing them to discover and develop their individual interests.
In the senior years (Years 11–12), students work towards the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). They are guided to choose subjects that match their strengths, passions, and career pathways, whether that leads to university, TAFE, apprenticeships, or the workforce. Opportunities also exist for VET (Vocational Education and Training) and specialist programs in STEM, leadership, arts, and sport, that can be studied in conjunction with the SACE program to provide students with a smorgasbord of options beyond school.
Throughout secondary school, our staff provide both academic and wellbeing support, ensuring students feel confident, cared for, and prepared for the challenges ahead. From the transition into Year 7, to the celebration of Year 12 graduation, every step of the journey is supported. What makes Prescott College Southern unique is that learning is underpinned by our Christ-centred values. Students are encouraged to grow not only in knowledge, but also in character, developing resilience, integrity, and a heart for service that prepares them for a bright future.
